The Anxious Generation Community Book Talk

Please join us for a PK-12 community book talk series on The Anxious Generation by social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. The book examines how the rise of smartphones, social media, and changing childhood experiences have contributed to a surge in anxiety, depression, and disconnection among young people. Haidt’s research offers both a powerful wake-up call and a hopeful framework for how families, schools, and communities can help children rediscover independence, play, and real-world connection.

This series is part of our ongoing effort to foster meaningful dialogue around technology, well-being, and student growth in Port Washington. Each session will focus on a different theme from the book, inviting reflection and conversation among parents, educators, and students.
